If you are under 28 years of age you will gain 5 additional points and it will
be easier for you to come under HSMP.

Qualification* (Maximum 30 points)

You will gain 15, 25 or 30 points for your qualifications.

PhD - 30 points Masters Degree (eg MA, MSc or MBA) or Professional Level Qualification
(eg Chartered Accountant) - 25 points A Bachelors Degree (eg BA, BSc) - 15 points
None of above - 0 points

Relevant Work Experience* (Maximum 50 points)

HSMP work experience requirements

You can gain up to 50 points if you meet one of the following requirements.

5 years work experience in a graduate level job - you don't have to have been
a graduate at the time, but the job must be one that would usually require a
graduate - 25 points PhD and three years of graduate level work experience -
25 points 5 years work experience in a graduate level job including senior or
specialist level work experience for two years - This is likely to mean a high
level management position in a small or large company or a specialist position
requiring a very high level of technical or artistic - 35 points 10 years work
experience in a graduate level job including senior or specialist level work
experience for 5 years - 50 points None of above - 0 points

HSMP earning power requirements

Earning Power* (Maximum 50 points)

(May be at least 5 to 6 thousnad pounds per year).

Please note to remember your recent earnings in UK Currency.
You will gain 25, 35 or 50 points under HSMP category depending on earning power
and Country of residence. Please go to the international currency convertor
if you wish to convert to UK currency.

Income over last twelve months in UK Currency (if you
are a student for the 12 months before you became a student).

Achievement in your chosen field* (Maximum 25 points)

There are very few people who will gain any points at
all under this category. You will need to have been recognised at "national
level" to come under significant achievement (15 points) or at "international
level" for outstanding achievement.

HSMP Priority Application* (Maximum 50 points)

HSMP priority application requirements

This is currently limited to doctors who are legally entitled to work as General
Practitioners in the UK.

Spouse's or Partner's Achievements* (Maximum 10 points)

HSMP spouse's achievements requirements

You can gain points under this category if you have been living together with
your spouse or partner for at least two years who has a bachelors degree, or
equivalent vocational or professional qualifications, or has experience in a
graduate level job.

UK Job Market - IMPORTANT*

Unless you are are already working full-time in the UK and will be doing similar
work if you are granted HSMP status, or your occupation is in a known shortage
area you should carefully research the UK job market to make sure that you will
find graduate level work. You do not need to have a job offer. However, it may
be necessary for you to provide some form of documentary evidence that you are
likely to find graduate level work. This could be information from web-sites,
newspaper articles, letters from prospective employers, letters from recruiters,
etc.

You have looked at the UK Job Market and are confident
of finding graduate level work You are unable to show that you are likely to
find work once HSMP status is granted - not eligible

You are unable to show that you will have sufficient funds in the UK to pay

You have either never been made bankrupt or are considered to be a discharged
